Dear Events/Program Coordinator,
As a self-published author of 7 books, I would like to offer you two colored slide presentations that I conduct. They may be of interest to you and the organization that you represent. The colored slide presentations conducted are geared for all ages and are from 1 to 1 & 1/2 hours in length. Dinner presentations have been done and are very pleasant. There is a flat fee for all presentations. The presentations are:
1. BOLDT CASTLE - HEART ISLAND 2. BOLDT YACHT HOUSE
Mr. George Charles Boldt was the builder of the world famous Boldt Castle in the Thousand Islands. Over 240,000 people, from around the world, visited the Castle in 2001. Over 23 million dollars have been spent on restoring this Castle since 1977. Mr. Boldt was also the builder of The Bellevue - Stratford Hotel in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was the Proprietor of the original Waldorf-Astoria Hotels in New York City. In addition, he was a trustee for Cornell University at Ithaca, New York. His life's work and contributions were very extensive beyond what is mentioned above. The BOLDT CASTLE - HEART ISLAND presentation conveys his 65 years of involvement in each of the above areas.
The BOLDT YACHT HOUSE presentation is based on my book by that same name, and tells of the over 63 watercraft owned by the Boldt family and used at their Thousand Island estate. Four of the boats are still in existence. Three are on public display at the Boldt Yacht House in Alexandria Bay, New York, and are owned by the Antique Boat Museum of Clayton, New York. The Yacht House is on the National Register of Historical Places.
I have been researching and developing Mr. Boldt's life since 1977. As a result I have self-published 1 tabloid and 7 books on him. The book titles are: BOLDT CASTLE - HEART ISLAND, BOLDT'S BOATS, THE BELLEVUE-STRATFORD HOTEL, THE WALDORF HOTEL, THE THOUSAND ISLANDS CLUB, BOLDT YACHT HOUSE and WELLESLEY ISLAND FARMS. These books are sold at many locations in New York State and Canada.
